On December 20, 2024, SZA unveiled SOS Deluxe: Lana, an expanded version of her acclaimed 2022 album SOS. This deluxe edition elevates the original release with 14 new tracks, bringing the total to a staggering 38 songs and a runtime of approximately 1 hour and 54 minutes.

Background and Development

The idea for SOS Deluxe was teased by SZA soon after the success of SOS. Despite facing delays due to last-minute adjustments to the mixing process, the project came to fruition with a refined sound. The title Lana holds personal significance, derived from a nickname SZA embraced during her teenage years.

Visuals and Promotion

The deluxe edition is accompanied by stunning visuals, including a music video for the single “Drive,” which features actor Ben Stiller. The video depicts SZA in imaginative, nature-inspired settings, underscoring the album’s themes of exploration and self-discovery. The album artwork reflects a bohemian aesthetic, portraying SZA as a “child of nature” in line with her creative vision.

Upcoming Grand National Tour

To celebrate the release, SZA has announced her Grand National Tour, kicking off on April 19, 2025, in Minneapolis. The tour will span two months, concluding on June 18, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
