1. Purpose & Commitment

SongsLover is an information location tool that helps users discover, stream, and enjoy music that is legally posted on the Internet. We are committed to:

Supporting artists and copyright holders.

Promoting legal access to music for educational, promotional, and non-commercial purposes.

Respecting the rights of artists who may restrict or limit distribution of their works.

2. Licensing & Royalties

Where possible, SongsLover negotiates reasonable copyright licenses that balance public access with artists’ rights.

Project SongsLover, Inc. pays performance royalties to ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, and other performance rights organizations (“PSOs”) worldwide.

Songwriters and publishers represented by these PSOs receive royalties when their works are streamed through SongsLover.

Some artists choose to:

Release music under Creative Commons licenses or similar free-use terms.

Offer promotional tracks through labels or netlabels.

Restrict their music entirely.

When artists or copyright holders notify us via a properly submitted DMCA takedown request, we immediately remove infringing links from our index.

3. Dynamic Links & Search Index

Our search index contains links to music files reasonably believed to be legally posted online.

Links may become inactive when copyright owners remove files from the Internet.

Users may submit links but must only submit music they reasonably believe is legally posted.

We maintain a dynamic and ever-changing index to reflect the promotional nature of online music.

4. Caching Policy

When streaming, SongsLover may temporarily cache portions of music files to improve performance and reduce bandwidth.

Cached copies are automatically deleted if the original file is removed by the copyright owner.

This caching process complies with established legal practices and does not circumvent Digital Rights Management (DRM).

5. Hosting, Uploading & Downloading

SongsLover does not host music files.

Users may not upload or download music files to or from SongsLover.

Our platform only enables bookmarking, streaming, and sharing links to legally hosted files.

Sharing a “SongsLover playlist” shares only location information, not the music file itself.

6. User Responsibilities

By using SongsLover, users agree:

Not to submit unauthorized or infringing music links.

Not to attempt to bypass DRM or protective measures.

To respect copyright owners’ rights and properly attribute music where applicable.

That repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.

7. Termination Policy

Users who repeatedly add unauthorized music links will have their accounts suspended or terminated.

We rely on copyright owners to identify infringers and act in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

SongsLover provides all services “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Continuous availability of links.

Accuracy or legality of user-submitted URLs.

That the music indexed will remain available indefinitely.

9. Limitation of Liability

Project SongsLover, Inc. shall not be liable for any damages resulting from the use, misuse, or inability to access music via our platform.

10. Notices for Copyright Holders

If you are a copyright holder and believe our index links to unauthorized content, please notify us via our Copyright Notice procedure. Upon verification, we will remove the link promptly in accordance with the law.
